Africa NOW

-Every day 41 million children in Sub-Saharan Africa wake up with no school to attend.

-In Uganda, nearly half of the estimated 2 million orphans are orphaned due to AIDS, with the total expected to rise to 3.5 million by 2010.

-15 million children around the world have been orphaned by AIDS, losing one or both parents to the disease.

-Approximately 20,000 babies are infected by HIV annually through mother-to-child transmission.

- In Uganda 57% of children finish primary school and 18% have the chance to go to secondary school.

One person can make a difference!

Every dollar makes a difference!
